North Melbourne Kangaroos vs Sydney Swans Preview

North Melbourne’s magical nine-week streak of covering the line came to an end last week with a 33-point loss to Richmond (The line was +14.5).

They looked on track to make it 10-lines-in-a-row when leading by 26-points at halftime against the Tigers, only to have been blitzed in the second half.

Sydney’s top-four hopes were pretty much dashed last week, after a surprise loss to the Saints and Buddy being held to only one goal.

You would expect both the Swans and Buddy to come back firing this week but North have proven to be one of the better and most competitive teams since the mid-season bye.

It’s worth noting that each of the last four matches between North Melbourne and Sydney have been decided by a margin of 15 points or less, and I wouldn’t rule out another close encounter in a rematch of the 1996 Grand Final this Saturday night.

The perfect excuse to pull out my favourite market and the $2.85 is, like Cyril, delicious.
