The wooden spoon race could be decided this weekend with North and West Coast both facing winnable games.

Fittingly, the Roos haven’t tasted a win since they knocked off the Eagles back in March, and they’ll now return from the bye hoping to snap an 11-game losing streak against a Crows team they haven’t beaten since 2020.

Adelaide put up a good fight last week against the Suns and it’s fair to say the final score really doesn’t do Matthew Nicks’ side any justice.

The Crows cut the margin back to two goals midway through the final term, only to fall apart down back allowing the Gold Coast to kick four straight.

Goals have been a problem area for these two clubs right throughout the season, but the advantage does belong with Adelaide when it comes to the stats sheet.

The Crows are averaging nearly two more goals per-game in comparison to North, while they’ve also been a much better team at moving the ball inside 50 and intercepting on the defensive end.

North has failed to score more than 50 points in each of their last six games, while they’ve also been the easiest team to score against all season.

Looking ahead, this might be one of the last remaining games that are winnable for the Crows, and if they can avoid the costly mistakes in front of goal that held them back last week, so they should take the points.
