Carlton remain undefeated in season 2023 after dismantling a very poor Geelong team on Thursday night.

There’s a part of me that think they got Geelong at the right time but it’s unfair to not give them kudos for simply getting the job done.

Adam Saad has had a white hot start to the year and Adam Cerra, Oliver Hollands and Matthew Owies only improved a team that just missed finals action in 2022.

And they have Sam Walsh to return at some stage.

The punters and pundits got a little carried away with GWS’s win over Adelaide in the opening round in my opinion.

Take nothing away from the win. It was a gutsy effort.

But I’m unsure how they form will stand up.

The Giants continue to play attacking football and they will get opportunities to score against a Carlton side that can, at times, give the football up through unforced errors.

The last five straight games between GWS and Carlton at GIANTS Stadium have gone OVER the total match points line and this is a game Carlton simply must win if they intend on extending their season beyond August.
