All the talk will be about if /when Buddy kicks his 1000th goal and it will be a truly momentous occasion, but here’s hoping he doesn’t kick it in this game.

Despite being 5 away from reaching the magical 1000, GWS will do everything to hold him back.

Along with this, no one wants Buddy to kick it at Accor Stadium – also known as Stadium Australia, one of the worst venues to host an AFL game and most people aren’t happy about footy being back there.

As for the match itself, the Sydney Derby has proven to be quite the matchup in recent times, with the Giants holding on by a point in a heart-stopping finish in last years Elimination Final down in Tassie.

The thrilling finish was marred by the Toby Greene umpire incident, but it was a truly remarkable win.

GWS has an excellent record over the Swans – wining five of their last seven, and they do look boss in the black charcoal jumpers for the occassion.

While the Swans are favourites and everyone is hoping Buddy gets to 1000, it won’t be this weekend, and not at that place.
