The Waratahs’ odds of advancing through to next week’s Super Rugby final continue to shorten with online bookie Sportingbet.com.au as punters rally behind the New South Wales side to beat the Brumbies tomorrow night.
Solid support has seen the Tahs tighten from $1.42 into $1.38 at Sportingbet, while the Brumbies have eased from $2.95 out to $3.10.
“Punters haven’t been afraid to open their wallets and back the Tahs. We’ve taken multiple four-figure for the Waratahs, whereas the biggest bet for the Brumbies so far is just $200,” Sportingbet’s Andrew Brown said.
“The home side advantage and the fact the Waratahs were convincing winners the last time they met in Sydney is definitely influencing our punters.”
In the weekends other semi-final, the Crusaders are well-supported $1.35 favourites to beat the Sharks ($3.25).
The Waratahs are $2.20 favourites at Sportingbet to take out the 2014 Super Rugby title, ahead of the Crusaders ($2.50), Brumbies ($7) and Sharks ($8).
