Melbourne Renegades vs Adelaide Strikers Preview
It’s hard to get excited about anything the Renegades are doing at the moment. After winning their first game of the season against the Scorchers, they have gone on to lose their last six in a row and were bowled out for under 100 for the third time this season in their loss to the Scorchers on Sunday night. They will now face the Strikers in back to back games on Tuesday and Friday and their hopes of qualifying for the finals could only be a possibility with five straight wins to end the season.
The Strikers currently sit in fourth place on the BBL table but have lost their last two due to poor batting performances. They put up just 146 in a loss to the Scorchers on Thursday night followed by 150 in their loss to the Sixers on Sunday. Bowling has certainly been their strength throughout the season but with back to back games against the worst side in the competition coming up, they’ll see it as a great chance to get into some form with the bat.
Can’t look past the Strikers here. They are a better side from top to bottom and while there have been a few shining lights for the Renegades this season, they just don’t have enough talent to be competitive for the full 40 overs. Back the Strikers to win this one comfortably.
