Singing heartthrob Johnny Rollins is the new favourite to win Channel Nine’s hit show ‘The Voice’, after the 29-year-old Victorian nailed the 1960s classic When A Man Loves A Woman to cement his spot in the final five.
Rollins is the $2.40 favourite with online bookie Sportingbet.com.au and tops the betting ahead of Anja Nissen ($3) and Frank Lakoudis ($4).
“Johnny has been sending social media into meltdown and he’s clearly not short of admirers, which is bound to play in his favour,” Sportingbet spokesman Andrew Brown said.
“Anja may have nearly been booted, but her rendition of Whitney Houston’s I Have Nothing had coaches Ricky Martin and will.i.am drawing favourable comparisons with the original, and she’s clearly still in with a good shot of winning.”
Jackson Thomas is considered a $4.80 shot with Sportingbet, while duo ZK is the outsider at $8.
