The Sydney housing bubble may have popped according to the odds from online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au.
A prime Kings Cross location with a little less than desired reputation has been priced at $2.20 to go under the hammer for between $1.75m and $2m – the first time the property would sell for a decrease on previous sale prices.
52 Kellett St has been on the market for quite some time, having sold in 2006 for $2.1m, Sportsbet has priced a gone price of over $2 million at $3.00.
Falling further in value to between $1.5m and $1.75m is an option that has not been ruled out – offered at $3.50.
Whilst falling to the region it sold for in 1999 of under $1.5m is seen as the outsider at $7.00.
“The property is currently operating a business called Secret Desire – the irony is that everyone knows the history of the building and seemingly nobody wants the joint,” sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne said.
