Online bookmaker Sportsbet has made some significant changes to the betting markets on the outcome of the Queensland State Election:

  • The Liberals have overtaken Labor to win the election, moving from $2.00 into $1.87.
  • Labor are now out to odds of $1.95 from $1.75.
  • There is an almost identical 50/50 hold of money on both parties.
  • A hung parliament is a toss of a coin scenario now, with both yes and no paying $1.90.

“This election is going to go right down to the wire, the Liberals have regained the lead in the betting and a hung parliament is tipping towards favourtism,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
