Online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au is tipping the US Federal Reserve will raise their interest rates in July at odds of $1.60.

  • US Fed Reserve tipped to increase interest rates in July.

  • RBA favoured to make another cut by year end.

  • Cash Rate falling below 1% unlikely in the next 12 months.

Moving earlier in their June decision is a $3.75 chance while our RBA decision for June is tipped to remain unchanged at $1.05.

Talk of the RBA dropping the Cash Rate appears very likely, Sportsbet offering $1.05 the next movement will be a decrease and $1.80 the rate will be at 1.50% at year end.

Speculation of a 1% level is unlikely within the next 12 months however – $7.50 is on offer for such a scenario.

“The RBA looks very likely to make another cut possibly in August but the Fed Reserve is going to move sooner by the looks of things,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
