Grande Rosso ($8.5) ran fourth at his first start in a Blue Diamond Preview over 1000m in January before failing in an Inglis Premier race at Mornington, but the colt should have derived great benefit from those runs and has an experience edge on his main rivals.

Tan Tat Diamond ($6) won in good style at his only start at Geelong over 1100m on July 1 and Dupe ’em ($5) won at the Sandown Hillside track over 900m on July 2. There is a big watch on the regally bred first starters Beluga Caviar ($4.4) and Fitna ($4.2).
