Royal Island ($3.7) has been most impressive racing through the grades this campaign. Two starts back he won at Donald over 1354m on June 19 and backed it up with a three length win at Bendigo over 1300m on July 9.
This is a step up again, but the son of Dubawi drops to the minimum weight. Lord Of Brazil ($9) has a good horse’s weight with 60kg, but he has had four runs since a spell and was not far away when eighth over this track and distance on June 28. He should be ready to strike.
Loot ’n’ Run ($6.5) has run fourth at his past three starts, but should get a comfortable lead this time and will take catching.
