Josh Kennedy’s odds to win the Coleman Medal have more than halved after his dominant effort yesterday, with online bookmaker sportsbet slashing his odds from $14 to $6.50.
The West Coast full forward is now the favourite ahead of Jay Schulz ($7.00) and Tom Hawkins ($9.00).
In other notable betting movements:
- St Kilda v Carlton: All of the early money was on the Saints ($3.35), but that has completely been turned on its head with three times the money now bet on the Blues at $1.34.
- Adelaide v Collingwood: The money is coming in 40 to 1 in favour of Collingwood ($1.53) despite the line only being set at 11.5.
- Essendon v Sydney: The Bombers ($2.75) haven’t been given much chance early in this one, with Sydney ($1.44) clearly the better backed team.
- Richmond v Melbourne: Melbourne’s competitiveness in previous weeks hasn’t transferred into punter confidence, with all of the early money on the Tigers at $1.20.
- North Melbourne v Brisbane: There hasn’t been a lot of interest in this one yet, but there has been some money for Brisbane despite being $7.50 outsiders.
- Fremantle v Geelong: The most even match of the round, but punters are tipping the Dockers ($1.84) will bounce back with three times the money on them.
- St Kilda v Gold Coast: At this stage this game has attracted the least amount of interest from punters, but there has been some early money for the Saints ($3.60).
