Online bookmaker Sportsbet has started a market on the line-ups for the iPhone 6 which was announced yesterday with the favourite being more than 500 people lining up at $1.85.

The people already queuing up outside the Apple store ahead of the iPhone 6 release are either diehard Apple fans, people who have come up with some brilliant excuses to get out of work or just people who enjoy standing in groups.
Either way, while the chances of them getting a good night’s sleep are slim, it looks a good bet that there will be more than a few queuing up, with online bookmaker sportsbet.com.au lining up odds of $1.85 that the queue will be at least 500 deep.
It’s long odds that people will get sick of it and give up, with under 100 people lining up the outsider in the market at $9.00.
While the new iPhone will be out next week, consumers will have to wait a bit longer for the much anticipated Apple Watch, but it looks like Buddy Franklin will be one of the first to slap it on his wrist.
Not only a trend setter on the footy field, he is priced at $5.00 to be the first Aussie celebrity to be photographed wearing the new gadget.
Jarryd Hayne ($6.00), Malcolm Turnbull ($7.00) and Clive Palmer ($8.00) are also at 12 o’clock to try the Apple Watch first.
“Don’t get me wrong, I want the new iPhone as well. But I’m not prepared to give up my comfy bed to line up! It looks a good bet that there is at least 500 people who don’t agree with me and will be lining up for the next week,” said sportsbet.com.au’s Shaun Anderson.
